Kent Housman
and I formed the band
straight out of high school. We gained a small degree of fame and recognition in the San Francisco Bay Area, playing clubs and concerts. After several good years, the band went by the wayside as most did in those times. A couple of years ago, "Irahs", "Good Times", and "Elephant", and three other songs were re-released on RD Records , a Swiss Company, and went on sale throughout Europe. There is a market there for obscure (bad?) 1960's "San Francisco Sound" bands. We finally get our 15 minutes of fame 30+ years later. Pretty cool, huh? "Composite" is a shortened version of "Irahs", "Good Times", and "Elephant", recorded in 1968. "Church Street" and "Friendly Lady" were written by Larry Armstrong , leader of "Rowdy and the Rivets", an "outlaw" country bar band. We had some amazing times playing with some of the great players in the area, but I sometimes wonder how I survived those drives back from the gigs

The band was an "electrified" oldtime string band, playing clubs in the Bay Area. We also toured the West in an old GMC bus. The songs are "Empty Bottles"and "Hallelujah I'm A Bum". Also included is "I Ain't Really A Cowboy" which we performed on the "Gong Show" (and lost).
